Each year I teach one or more landscape photography workshops in Rocky Mountain
National Park. These courses are designed to help beginning and intermediate photographers take the next step upward
in their artistic development through in-depth study of the craft and art of landscape photography. The class enjoys
two sunrise shoots at prime locations in Rocky Mountain National Park, then works on educational, in-the-field "assignments"
on exposure and composition. Instructor slide shows reveal my favorite Colorado landscape-photography locations
and explain the techniques behind my best images. Images shot at sunrise each day are evaluated in class later that
afternoon, giving students immediate feedback on their efforts. Participants are encouraged to bring a small sampling
of their previous work for one-on-one critique sessions with the instructor. Both film and digital photographers are
welcome.
These workshops are offered through the Rocky Mountain Nature Association, the non-profit educational
and fund-raising arm of Rocky Mountain National Park.
I will be teaching a general landscape photography
workshop from August 22 (evening) to August 24, 2008. This workshop is full, but you can add your name to the waiting
list by calling the Nature Association at 970 586-3262.
I will also be teaching a general
landscape photography workshop from August 15 (evening) to August 17, 2008. To register for the workshop, please visit
the Rocky Mountain Nature Association website.
Here's what my students have had to say about my workshops: "Top-flight instructor - knew his material and, even more importantly, knew how to teach it."
"I've been photographing for 10 years now, and I still learned a ton in this class!"
"I have
taken photo seminars before from other instructors but Glenn was far superior. I learned a lot more than I expected."
"Glenn is an excellent instructor. He explains the complex concepts in easy-to-understand language.
He is very professional and cares very much about helping the students."
"He is the one instructor I've
had who is more interested in helping the students improve their photography skills rather than taking good photos himself."
