11x14 loose print of Sunrise Aspen
I
spent four days searching Rocky Mountain National Park for a stand of beautiful aspen that would be backlit by the rising
sun and finally found this grove high above the closest trail. I returned at sunrise the next day and was
delighted when the sun found a tiny hole in the clouds, allowing the leaves to glow like stained glass. Later that same
day, the shot vanished for another year as a powerful snowstorm stripped off all the leaves.
